SDQ RIDE sells private transfers only; the published Zona Colonial Standard example is USD 35 one way per vehicle within the agreed capacity, not a per-seat shuttle price.
Find out when the shared vehicle leaves and where it stops
Check your precise hotel and arrival with the shared provider. Ask for the meeting location, first and last service, any passenger minimum and the delayed-flight arrangement. Advertising Santo Domingo does not establish coverage of every apartment, villa or hotel in the city.
Establish whether departure follows a timetable or waits for other arrivals. Ask about intermediate hotel stops and the final drop-off. For a child, appointment or late reception, those rules may matter more than a general journey-time estimate.
Calculate the total for the same passengers and load
Multiply the shared fare by all chargeable passengers and add bag charges and any last connection. Check how children are charged and whether a suitable seat can be supplied. Compare the result with a written private quote that accepts the same people, bags and destination.
A single traveller may prefer an available lower shared price, while a larger group may benefit from a vehicle fare. Neither outcome should be assumed from invented average prices. Read payment and cancellation rules separately; equal totals can still come with different conditions.
Choose around the constraints that cannot move
For an unmarked apartment or gated villa, confirm who handles the last approach. Send dimensions for sports equipment and ask about boarding for reduced mobility. The words shuttle and private say nothing definitive about equipment space or access.
