Changing hotels in the Dominican Republic: book the route you will actually take

Identify both properties down to the correct lobby

Copy each hotel's complete name from its confirmation. One brand can have several nearby properties and one complex can have multiple receptions. A villa, residence or adults-only wing may require another entrance, so identify where the passengers will actually meet the vehicle.

A Santo Domingo hotel-to-Bávaro ride starts somewhere different from an SDQ-to-Bávaro ride. Do not calculate it by subtracting airport fares or deciding from map distance alone. Dispatch must assess the actual roads and the time the vehicle is committed to the journey.

Align checkout, travel and the next room's availability

Choose a pickup after checkout can be completed and all stored bags collected. Ask the next hotel about an arrival before normal check-in. Being driven there does not grant early room access or guarantee luggage storage, so confirm both directly with that property.

If lunch or sightseeing belongs between the hotels, put it in the request before accepting the quote. A stop creates waiting and may change vehicle supervision arrangements. Agree its duration and complete price rather than turning a direct transfer into an excursion after setting off.

Recount the load instead of copying the airport booking

Shopping, golf equipment or friends joining after arrival can change the space required. Send the current passenger and bag count and request child seats again when needed. The original flight transfer only described what you carried then.

Keep the accepted destination and payment arrangement in writing and designate one reachable coordinator between both properties and dispatch. If pickup moves to another hotel, obtain a revised confirmation. A driver cannot infer an address change from your earlier accommodation plans.
