La Romana, Amber Cove and Santo Domingo's Sans Souci are separate cruise destinations. Match the exact terminal to the sailing documents before requesting transport from SDQ. For a north-coast ship, compare Puerto Plata flights too. Evaluate flight, road transfer and boarding deadline together; buying a private ride does not create a protected flight-to-cruise connection.
Use a terminal entrance, not a regional destination name
A sailing may advertise Puerto Plata while the boarding document identifies a particular port facility. Copy that facility and its passenger entrance instead of substituting another location described as nearby. A regional label does not establish where your ship accepts passengers.
La Romana's terminal is distinct from its airport, city accommodation and the region's resorts. Send dispatch the cruise line's own map link if available. Confirm the access arrangement and quote for that entrance; a hotel-zone price is not automatically a port fare.
Compare the connection you would actually buy
Add the flight, baggage, full road quote and any hotel night before deciding that SDQ is cheaper. Include the cost and practical consequences of missing the ship. A higher airfare to an airport nearer the sailing can make more sense than a cheaper ticket followed by a long drive.
Ask for a realistic allowance for the actual pickup date and point. Airport formalities, road disruption and the line's check-in cutoff belong in the plan. The quote covers travel between accepted locations; it cannot promise boarding or transfer airline-delay risk to the cruise operator.
